ISO 20000 is an international standard for IT service management (ITSM) released in 2005 by the International Organization for Standardisation (ISO). This is an international standard certification standard defined for IT service organisations worldwide to use as the best practice of service management. The British national standard BS15000 developed and was born in December 2005 as the international standard for ISO 20000 through the International Organization for Standardisation (ISO).
